DFN1006 TP-RCLAMP3321P ESD Diode Low Capacitance
100V, 250mA, surface mount, high speed switching diode

The delay switch circuit is shown in Figure 1.

Figure 2 printed circuit diagram and physical map

Component specifications:

J relay type 4098 working voltage 6V V1V2 transistor triode 9014 VD crystal diode 2CP10 or 1N4001 R adjustable resistor 100k C electrolytic capacitor 100u/6V K1 push button switch.

3. Welding circuit

a. Pre-weld and tin-plated each component.

b. Welding relays. Insert the relay into the corresponding hole on the printed board. Solder 5 pins. Note that the soldering time should be as short as possible, and the solder joints should be round and small.

c. Soldering R and C, adjustable resistor R can be soldered as shown in Figure 3-27 before being inserted into the printed circuit board. Pay attention to the positive and negative pin positions when soldering electrolytic capacitor C.

d. Solder diode VD. Pay attention to the positive and negative pin positions, not solderable. The welding time should be as short as possible.

e. Soldering transistor V1V2. Pay attention to the three poles b, c, and e of the triode. Not solderable.

f. Solder the power leads and push button switch leads and connect the push button switch K1.

4. Debugging and application of delay switch

a. Check the soldering of each solder joint on the printed board. Pay attention to the virtual welding and the false welding. Adjacent solder joints should be cleaned to prevent short circuits between solder joints.

b. Adjust the adjustable contact of the adjustable resistor R to the middle position to turn on the 6V power supply (two 3V power supplies can be connected in series).

c. Press the button switch, and you should hear a click. The relay is pulled in. After a few tens of seconds, you should hear a "beep" and the relay is released. The delay switch works normally. If you want to change the delay time, you can adjust R. The larger the R, the longer the delay time. If the required delay time is greater than the maximum delay time of this circuit, replace C with a larger capacity electrolytic capacitor.

5. Application of delay switch

A time delay switch can be used to control the light bulb.

(1) If you want to control the 6V, 0.3A small bulb, you can wire as shown in Figure A. Connect the relay 1.4 pin to the printed board (the wire is directly soldered to the printed board copper foil), and the small bulb can be connected between the relay 3 end and the negative pole of the power supply. At this time, if the button switch is pressed, the small bulb emits light, and automatically goes out after a delay of several tens of seconds.

(2) If you want to control the 220V/40W lighting, please refer to the connection of Figure B. Both ends of A and C on the printed circuit board are used as switches. Since the circuit uses 220V AC, pay special attention to safety when installing. Should be operated under the guidance of a teacher. The board should be packaged in an insulated box for use.

Delay switch device can be installed in corridors and stairs. For nighttime lighting, it can be done "people go out of the light". It can also be used as a light source for the exposure chamber when the photo is washed in the darkroom, and the exposure time can be controlled.
