Smelting analysis

The smelting analysis refers to a chemical analyzer that takes a sample in the molten steel pouring process and then further prepares a sample and performs it. The results of the analysis represent the average chemical composition of the same furnace or the same tank of molten steel.

Finished product analysis

Finished product analysis refers to the taking of a sample on a processed finished steel (including a billet) and subsequent chemical analysis. Finished product analysis is mainly used to test chemical composition, also known as inspection analysis. Due to the uneven distribution (segregation) of the elements in the crystallization process of the molten steel, the value of the finished product analysis sometimes differs from the value of the smelting analysis.

Second, the general sampling

The samples used for the chemical composition smelting analysis and finished product analysis of steel must be taken in representative parts of molten steel or steel. The specimens shall be uniform and adequately representative of the chemical composition of each smelting number (or each tank) or batch of steel and shall be of sufficient quantity to meet all analytical requirements.

Samples for chemical analysis can be drilled, chipped, or taken with some tool mechanism. The chips should be crushed and mixed evenly. When using sampling chips, do not use water, oil or other lubricants, and remove surface iron oxide and sputum. The finished steel should also remove decarburized layers, carburized layers, coatings, coated metals or other foreign materials.

When using the drill bit to take sample samples, the smelting analysis or the analysis of the finished product of small section steel should be as large as possible, at least not less than
