The LYTSwitch-0 unit provides energy efficiency in excess of 90% in typical applications, providing constant current regulation better than +/-5%. At 115VAC, the power factor is greater than 0.8 and greater than 0.55 at 230VAC, in line with the North American ENERGY STAR V1 draft version 3 consumer lighting standards, and the European Energy Conservation Design Directive, Lot 19, Part 2.
Important applications for LYTSwitch-0 include low cost LED bulbs such as the GU10 and candle types. The RDR-355 illustrates a 6W non-dimming LED driver. LYTSwitch-0 is available in both SO-8 and DIP packages and is now available for ordering IC samples.
