The latest news that the British inventor James Dyson's son Jack Dyson announced his latest research and development results: the use of heat pipe technology to cool LED lighting , their lighting effects will be more sustained and stable.

Studies have shown that the basic principle of this technology is to install a vacuum-sealed copper tube that is laid along the lateral lamp holder. Seal a drop of water in each sealed copper tube. After turning on the light, the heat generated by the LED causes the water in the tube to become steam, and under the pressure difference, the steam begins to move along the tube. Once the steam reaches the cooling zone of the copper tube, it will recondense and return to the water, so that the heat energy is dissipated. Then, the water is sucked back into the LED direction, and the cooling cycle of the LED then starts again.

The technology is said to be enough to cost Jack Dyson and his team of engineers for at least a decade. Previously, heat pipe cooling technology was mainly used in satellite and processor heat dissipation, and no one ever thought about using it in the field of civil lighting . The CSYS desk lamp with this technology has built in 8 high-power LED lamp beads with 8mm spacing, and can achieve 8mm dense arrangement, so the illuminance of 648LUX is output in 1 square meter space (about ordinary white woven lamp). Several times the parameters, and has a continuous high brightness output life of 144,000 hours.

Although LED luminescent particles are greatly reduced compared to conventional lighting fixtures , some high-brightness models still produce higher operating temperatures, which can have a significant impact on longevity during long-term use. In general, LED lighting fixtures use more traditional passive metal heat sinks. Although there is no problem in dealing with general brightness, if you want to use high-brightness and ultra-high brightness LED devices, the heat dissipation effect is not guaranteed.
