Sharp officially announces its entry into the Korean smart phone market

According to South Korea’s “Central Daily” report, Japan’s Sharp Corporation announced that it has launched a number of smart phones on the Korean market. This has become the first Japanese manufacturer to sell mobile phones in Korea.

At present, Korea Telecom (KT) is negotiating with Sharp on Sharp's domestic sales methods, prices, and after-sales services in Korea.

Due to the lack of development in Japan's domestic mobile phone market, Sharp is actively seeking overseas markets. In October last year, Sharp announced plans to enter the Indian mobile phone market in 2011.
