The Illumination Africa project is one of the beneficiaries of the $100 million fund of the US Climate REDI (Renewables and Efficient Deployment Imitative). The fund recognizes and supports the important role of off-grid projects in Africa and around the world. The specific amount given to illuminate African projects has not yet been determined.
Climate REDI will use the following methods to promote clean energy technologies:
1. Quality assurance to prevent harm to inferior renewable energy products to consumers in developing countries;
