How should Huawei ZTE be confronted in the United States?

As China becomes more powerful, more and more Chinese companies are going abroad to compete in international markets. Recently, the Intelligence Committee of the US House of Representatives issued a report, requesting government agencies to procure the purchase of their equipment on the grounds that China's telecom equipment companies Huawei and ZTE threaten their national security.

To this, Mei Xinyu, a researcher at the China International Trade and Economic Cooperation Research Institute of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, stated: "This report is entirely without evidence. It is a lack of self-confidence in 'conquering an overlord'."

Huawei and ZTE have stated their position that their products pose no threat to the U.S. national security and open themselves to cooperate with the investigation, but this does not help.

Although the telecommunications industry in China started very late, after 20 years of development, Huawei and ZTE have become the first camp of the world's telecommunications manufacturing industry. Mei Xinyu introduced that in the first half of this year, Huawei's operating income was 102.7 billion yuan, surpassing Ericsson for the first time to become the world's industry first, and ZTE ranked fifth. The rapid development of Huawei and ZTE has caused anxiety in countries such as the United States and Canada. However, for acts of malicious suppression, Chinese companies should establish the most extensive "unity protectionist united front" and strengthen exchanges and interests with the host country. When necessary, when conditions are ripe, deterrence or trade retaliation against the necessary objects, ensure that the other side resists its moral hazard and strive for reasonable and fair treatment for Chinese enterprises.
