On August 13th, NanoMarkets recently released a market report stating that the OLED lighting market is expected to reach $6 billion by 2015. NanoMarkets also said that most companies will focus on general lighting and architectural lighting, which will reach approximately $4 billion in 2015 and vehicle lighting is expected to exceed $750 million. If OLEDs can be an alternative to LCD backlights and can be produced separately, they could reach the $1.4 billion market in 2015. The report points out that OLED lighting will enter a period of rapid growth as it can be used in general lighting, architectural lighting, backlighting, automotive lighting and some advertising signs.
