Mitsubishi Chemical and Pioneer produced OLED illumination with a coated luminescent layer with a luminous efficiency of 52 lm/W

Mitsubishi Chemical and Pioneer announced on May 10, 2011 that they have successfully produced a white light-emitting OLED device using a coating process to form a light-emitting layer. The luminous efficiency is as high as 52 lm/W, and the luminance half-life is as long as 20,000 hours at an initial luminance of 1000 cd/m 2 .
In order to fully develop the OLED lighting business in 2014, the two companies and the Mitsubishi Chemical Science and Technology Research Center jointly developed OLED components for lighting using the coating process from January 2010. The component developed this time is one of the results, and the lower layer and the luminescent layer of the component are formed by a coating process. The upper layer is formed by vapor deposition.
The process used in this release of OLED components.
In addition, Mitsubishi Chemical's OLED lighting source module "VELVE", which is scheduled to be launched in July 2011, uses a coating process only when the underlying film is formed. The luminous efficiency was 28 lm/W. It is scheduled to be mass-produced by the Northeast Pioneer.
