Visual Furniture British AR Wins 700,000 Pounds in Investment from Baidu VR

DigitalBridge, a British technology startup, has raised a six-figure investment in a recent round of financing.

The Manchester, UK-based company is an augmented reality software provider whose products allow users to visualize furniture products at home. DigitalBridge has now received more than 700,000 pounds of investment from private investors. Of these, 350,000 pounds came from Stuart Marks, the founder of investment company L Marks. Department store chain John Lewis also invested £100,000 in DigitalBridge.

David Levine, Executive Director of DigitalBridg, said that the six-digit investment will be used to enhance the company's development team and improve the user experience of the platform. He said: “More retailers are starting to see the commercial benefits of the mixed reality platform, especially online retailers. The latest round of investment proves this. Consumers have been appealing for interior design for years. 'Undo button', now with this new technology, retailers can now provide them with such a choice."

Stuart Marks of L Marks said: “DigitalBridge is a truly innovative company that provides consumers with 'undo buttons.' We are very proud to be able to provide them with L Marks’ expertise and support. David brings a Outstanding team, this is one of the key drivers of rapid business growth in the past 12 months."

He added: "The potential of this new platform is really starting to show itself to large retailers, whether in the UK or elsewhere in the world. I believe their business will continue to bring changes to the retail industry."

A survey commissioned by DigitalBridge found that one-third of consumers abandoned the purchase simply because they could not visualize the product in the home. The survey also showed that more than half of consumers want to be able to visualize products at home while shopping. An independent report has shown that virtual reality and augmented reality platforms will bring up to 1 billion pounds for the British retail market.
