Since 2011, the number of LED lighting application companies in China has grown rapidly, and the market for LED lighting production equipment has been rapidly increasing. Although the number of domestic LED lighting application companies has increased in the first half of this year, the demand for major equipment is not obvious. According to GLII data, most of the newly entered 600 LED lighting application companies are small and medium-sized enterprises, and only plan to invest in auxiliary equipment (connector, solder paste printing machine, aging equipment, experimental equipment, workbench, oven, photoelectric test equipment). The company accounted for 65% of the total. Domestic equipment market share growth is obvious

In the first half of 2012, due to the global economic downturn, the growth of lighting products slowed down, while the domestic market demand growth was lower than expected, so most lighting application companies are more inclined to choose domestic equipment with greater price advantage. According to GLII data, the market share of domestic LED lighting production equipment reached 53% in the first half of the year, an increase of 11 percentage points from 2011.

GLII data shows that in the first half of the domestic LED lighting production equipment, auxiliary equipment sales scale accounted for the largest. In terms of major equipment, imported equipment is still the mainstream of the market. Among them, Japanese and Korean manufacturers represented by Yamaha, JUKI, SAMSUNG, and MIRAE account for more than 60% of the LED placement machine market share, while imported plug-in machines, reflow soldering/wave soldering machines are also favored by domestic large-scale lighting companies. The equipment manufacturers in Europe, America and Taiwan have a small market share. Among them, the imported equipment in Europe and America is at the international leading level in performance, but due to the price, domestic enterprises purchase less.

Equipment prices continue to fall

According to the latest survey data of GLII, the price of LED lighting production equipment continued to decline in the first half of this year. Compared with the beginning of the year, the average market price of equipment dropped significantly. Among them, the price of medium and low price equipment has dropped significantly.

According to the GLII survey, since 2011, domestic semi-automatic placement machines and plug-in machines have entered the market. With the advantage of price, they have been favored by some small and medium-sized enterprises. However, domestically-made automatic equipment has not yet been put on the market, and it still relies on imports. The price of related equipment has been limited. .
