21ic News Chuangwei Technology has released the world's first USB 3.0 network camera control chip product GL3620, which can meet the needs of 5.0 Gbps USB 3.0 synchronous transmission applications. This article refers to the address: http:// The GL3620 is the industry's first USB 3.0 device to use USB 3.0 isochronous transfer mode to deliver uncompressed 1080p (1920X1080) video streams at 30 frames per second. The GL3620 specification is compatible with the USB-IF Compliance Workshop and tested with the USB 3.0 CV kit to complement the market's main USB 3.0 host-side control chip. The GL3620 includes built-in hardware image signal processing (HISP) that converts RGB RAW data from a CMOS sensor to an interpolated YUV format. HISP also includes other features including poorly corrected pixels, image scaling, gamma correction, and image quality enhancement. The GL3620 also includes a Motion JPEG (MJPEG) encoder that is backward compatible with the USB 2.0 transport interface. The production version of the GL3620 will be available in the second quarter of 2012 and will add a sensor interface that supports the MIPI D-PHY for a wider range of sensor integration. Genesys Logic will showcase the GL3620 at the CES Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, USA from January 10-13, 2012. It will also showcase other USB 3.0 products, including the GL3520 4-port Hub Control Chip. GL3220 high-speed multimedia memory card card reader control chip and SATA bridge control chip for GL3321 external hard disk transmission. The Genesys Technology booth is located at Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall 3, USB TechZone #30769. The GL3620 is available in 64-pin QFN and 128-pin LQFP packages. USB 3.0 is the latest technology in the USB family, with bandwidth transmission up to ten times that of USB 2.0 and with four different transfer modes. The synchronous mode ensures the bandwidth transmission speed between the host and the device, and the theoretical value can reach 380MB per second.
