Crying without tears, what to do if Windows 10 cannot connect to the wireless network

When using Windows 10 to surf the Internet, you may encounter the strange phenomenon of not being able to connect to the wireless network. The network name can be clearly seen in the Netcom list, but it shows that the network cannot be connected when connected. There may be many reasons for this problem, and it must be dealt with according to the specific situation. If you encounter this problem, try these solutions below.

1. Wireless driver reset

The most common problem may lie in the wireless driver, and the way to deal with it is the simplest. Right-click the "Start" button and select "Device Manager" from the menu. After launching into the Device Manager window, expand the "Network Adapter" branch, find the device item representing the wireless network, right-click the item and select "Update Driver" to update the wireless driver. After updating the driver, restart the system to see if you can surf the Internet.

2. Modem, router and computer reset

Sometimes, the system automatically configures an IP address. This address is called APIPA (Automatic Private IP Address). APIPA is a reserved address block, and its address range is 169.254.0.0~169.254.255.255. When the DHCP server cannot be found due to a network failure, APIPA will be used. If you can't make good use of APIPA, you need to perform a round of reset operations on modems, routers, computers and other devices.

If you still cannot access the Internet after the driver is updated, you can try to solve it by resetting the Modem and router. Turn off the Modem, router, and computer first, and wait for more than one minute; then turn on the Modem and wait for all the lights to light up; then turn on the router and wait for all the lights to light up. Finally, turn on the computer to start Windows, and try to see if the network can be connected.

3. Use hardware and device troubleshooting

In the case that the above method cannot be connected to the network, we need to use the "troubleshooting" function provided by the system itself to seek help. Click the "Start" button, then click "Settings", click the "Update and Security" button in the settings window, select "Troubleshooting" in the "Update and Security" list, and then click "Hardware and Security" in the right pane. Device", and then click "Run troubleshooter" under the item. Then follow the wizard prompts to see if the wireless connection problem can be resolved.

To solve the problem of the network adapter, execute the following command

msdt.exe -id NetworkDiagnosticsNetworkAdapter

Start the network adapter problem wizard, click "Next" and follow the wizard prompts.

4. Replace the wireless network security scheme

Increasing the security protocol level can make the network more secure, but sometimes this setting may not allow network connections. At this time, the security setting standard can be appropriately lowered, such as changing from WPA to WEP. Although this can only use a 10-digit password, it may solve the network connection problem.

To set the network security scheme, after using the router management address and entering the router setting interface through a web browser, make the corresponding changes from the "Security Type" menu. Different router settings interface may be different.

5. Perform a network reset

If none of the above processes can be solved, it can be completely solved by resetting the network. First, enter the system settings window through the "Settings" button of the start menu, and select "Network and Internet".

Next, select the "Status" item in the left column in the network settings port, and then find and click "Reset Network" in the list on the right pane.
