BBC Micro: bit encoding kit is now available in China through the e-Community

Small coding suite designed to inspire younger generations to learn coding interest

Shanghai, China, July 27, 2017 – The e-Community , part of the Premier Farnell Group, is now shipping BBC Micro:bit encoding kits to Chinese customers. The BBC micro:bit was launched in the UK in March 2016 in conjunction with an educational program led by the BBC and partnered with a number of technology partners including ARM, Microsoft and Premier Farnell. Premier Farnell is the exclusive manufacturer of BBC micro:bit, which manufactures code suites in the UK-based business and promotes the kits in Europe and North America.

Since the launch of BBC Micro:bit in the UK, the microbit.org website has reached 13 million visits, the code simulator has run nearly 10 million times, and the number of compilations has reached 2 million.
